Additional Resource Bonus

How does the additional resource bonus work? It seems that it only gives an additional resource when you are chopping wood. I thought it was supposed to give you additional resources for bundles of goods (I thought it did in previous versions) |

Chopping wood, picking berries, piles of gold, and piles of stone. Pretty much anything that doesn't come from a building gets the bonus. |
